Who has access to wireless?

You must be a current employee or registered student taking classes, to be able to set up and use the wireless.

KCC provides secure wireless Internet access for student and employee use at several locations on main campus and regional centers. These locations are clearly identified by blue “Wireless Networking Available” signs. To access the wireless network at any location, you will first need to set up your machine, there are steps below for instructions. Access will require log in to the wireless network with your “k”id (or “m”id) and Universal Password, the same one you use for the Kellogg Community College or (Miller College) portal. Basic wireless access provides for Internet usage only.

How to get Connected?

If you are on campus, you can bring your laptop to the Help Desk and we will assist you with setting it up. The Help Desk is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. If you're off campus at one of the centers, you can stop in the office for assistance. Normal setup for MAC and PC machines takes less than 2 minutes.

Connect the computer to the Network "KCC-OPEN" through the Network icon typically at the bottom right and open any Web Based Browser (Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Chrome).

Do not "Connect automatically" this will prevent you from gain access in the future.



Step 2

LOGIN with your "K-Id" and universal Password from the "iMC Portal" page.

If you Remember Password this will remember username and password. The next time that you connect to the wireless, you will skip to just clicking on the Log In button.

Leave "Service Type" blank.

Step 3

You are logged on. This window must be left open for you to stay connected to the Internet. Logged in image
